The Mission of Shelter Culture Site is to empower the community with confidence by helping them discover the potential in them.

Shelter Culture Site will deliver its services through collaborative association with community and support agencies in a diligent, professional manner while providing leadership in meeting needs and aspiration of community and stakeholders.

Shelter Culture Site will provide high quality services promoting tourism in Kenya and developing opportunities through innovation to support the site for effective delivery.

VISION:
The Vision of Shelter Culture Site is to be the Kikuyu Cultural Center of excellence in quality tourism and social welfare services.

PROGRAM GOAL:
To improve the region and the life of the community by setting up tourist camping sites and a cultural center which will consist of traditional structures and facilities.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

• Dancing traditionally.
• Kikuyu bags weaving
• Planting using traditional methods
• Cultivating
• Fishing from the nearest river
• Drawing water using pots.
• Traditional Story telling in the evening before bedtimes.

• The Youth through employment.
• Young women who've dropped out of school due to pregnancy.
• The Physicaly challenged persons.
• HIV / AIDS - widows, orphans
