Nairobi Hilton Hotel

Nairobi Hilton Hotel was built in the early 1960s by America as a gesture of confidence in the new Kenyan government, led by Jomo Kenyatta from 1963 onwards. All the many floors of the circular tower block complete what was quite a gesture. Its highly central position in Nairobi helps it to dominate an entire block as well as a large portion of the richer side of tourism. All amenities are available (including pool, shopping arcade and communications centre). The hotel underwent extensive renovation in 1996 and offers improved amenities.

  • The 302-room Nairobi Hilton enjoys a perfect location in the heart of Kenya's capital and provides the business and leisure markets with a superb selection of facilities.
  • All rooms are air-conditioned and have satellite TV, electronic safes, electronic locks and mini bar.
  • Four restaurants are available and one Pub with live entertainment.
  • The Traveller's Restaurant features Italian, Mediterranean, Continental and African cuisine, the Pool Restaurant serves both a la carte and barbeque, Café Americain for delicious coffees and pastries and La Patisserie for quick snacks and cakes.
  • Special recreational amenities include a heated swimming pool, health club facilities, gymnasium, sauna, steam bath and massage.
  • The Ballroom and four meeting rooms can host 500 guests. Local attractions include Nairobi National Park and a nearby golf course with complimentary green fees to hotel residents.
  • Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is a 20-minute drive from the hotel.

Facilities include 287 rooms with private bath, shower, TV, electronic safe, air-conditioning, telephone, minibar and hairdryer. Four restaurants, serving international cuisine, local and Italian cuisine are located within the hotel.
